Tech Docs: Synergy Media Types

The Synergy playback system contains a defined list of "Media Types", basically sources of video that Synergy can control.  These are equivalent to the Signal Sources in Facil.  In order for you to match your Signal Sources to the Synergy Media Types, a list of the Media Types must be maintained in Facil.  The entire process for setting up the Facil/Synergy interface is explained in the Facil Help File topic "Synergy Playback Control"

From time to time, Synergy may add new Media Types and you will need to update the list of Media Types in Facil.  This is done in the Admin Menu.  Select the Projects, Programs Reference Lists form.  Then select the Synergy Media tab.

The form shows a list with an ID # and a description for each Media type.  The Synergy Media ID # in the first column must be entered exactly as indicated.  The description is as provided by Synergy.
